Inclusive Swimming Lessons for Children with SEN & Disabilities
Specialist small group and 1-to-1 lessons in Stafford, designed to help every child feel safe, supported, and confident in the water – at their own pace.
Swimming Should Be for Everyone
At Swimwell, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to enjoy the water.
Our SEN provision is built around adaptability, empathy, and safety – with options for inclusive small group lessons or dedicated 1-to-1 support.
Whether your child is working on confidence, coordination, or life-saving safety skills, we’ll meet them where they are, and support every step of their swimming journey.
Qualified, Experienced & Understanding
Our SEN sessions are delivered by specialist teachers qualified in STA Disability Awareness and trained in inclusive swim instruction. Many of our team also work within the wider SEND sector, meaning they bring not just expertise – but real-world understanding of how to support each swimmer’s unique needs.
Small Group Lessons
Our inclusive group sessions are kept small (3–6 swimmers) to allow for individual support within a gentle, social setting. Activities are adapted as needed so every swimmer feels included and encouraged.
1-to-1 Support
Some swimmers thrive with focused, personal attention. Our 1-to-1 lessons are fully tailored to your child’s pace, communication style, and comfort — with progress and enjoyment at the heart.
Calm & Adaptive Teaching
We aim to create a low-stimulation environment wherever possible, using visual aids, sensory strategies, and clear, consistent communication to help each child feel secure and in control.
We proudly deliver the STA Rockhopper Awards, a specialist programme designed for swimmers with learning difficulties, sensory needs, or physical disabilities. The scheme helps swimmers build confidence in a safe, structured and fun way – celebrating every milestone along the way.
